The image of the cellar spider, encountered within the church, is printed onto silk and encased in an oak frame. Beneath the silk lies a solid slice of oak; under specific light, the growth rings emerge like a cobweb, overlapping with the spider’s form to suspend it within a vast 'web of time'. The spider is positioned at the vanishing point, its limbs radiating towards the frame's edges. On the periphery, the constellation of Ursa Minor is inlaid in sea glass, representing my perspective as a son—finding a fixed point of guidance amidst the infinite.
