This work contemplates the paradox of love: resilient yet as fragile as a Prince Rupert’s Drop. It reflects my mother’s strength, which sustained our family through decades of tears and optimism. Love is an eternal attribute transcending species, yet remains fragile within its mortal vessel. Beside a million-year-old palm fossil, a human century is but a silver speck. Entombed in a Jesmonitecast vintage frame, a compass needle sits at the vanishing point, a metaphor for love as a beacon across time. On the frame, the constellation of Ursa Major calls out to Ursa Minor, echoing the eternal bond between mother and child.
