Watching the shuttle glide rhythmically through the warp, and seeing the long threads vibrate in the air, I envisioned weaving as a tangible manifestation of the river of time. Within this tapestry of space and memory, I imagine myself as a small boat drifting through the expanse, weaving my own past.
I constructed this backstrap loom from driftwood, using cotton thread to weave a precise number of lines matching my age, interspersed between transparent threads. This small boat continues its journey forward, sailing toward the inevitable destination we all share.
